Silk Flower Tutorial

These silk flowers are all over the web. I did not come up with the idea myself. But, I did figure out how to make them on my own. Do YOU want to learn? Of course you do. The flowers are so cute!
Silk Flower Tutorial
Supplies:
Silk or less expensive faux silk fabric
Beads
Scissors
Lighter
Thread
Glass of water (optional but advised)
How it’s done!
First thing you need to do is cut out 5-6 circles in several sizes.
You do not need to cut them into perfect circles.
Grab a circle and your lighter (and water in case you flower catches fire)
Hold the flower in the center
Begin the burn the edges
Continue turning the fabric in a circle, not staying in one spot too long.
The edges will start to curl.
Do this to all of the circles.
The next thing you want to do is stack them, from biggest to smallest.
Get you needle, thread, and beads.
Coming from the underside of the flower stitch a small X
Then come up from the bottom again, and start stitching your beads in place.
You should now have a purdy flower.
You can hot glue it to an alligator clip, or stitch it to a headband.
(sorry about the blurry pic, my model kept moving)
You can attach it to a shirt even.
The embellishment possibilities are endless!
